  1. I am noticing a pattern...a very good pattern. You are feeling these boosts of energy on the new diet. This means metabolism is starting to kick in. You have seen what happens when you skip and you feel tired.
You will be a little sore i am sure tomorrow from the walk. That is 100% fine. But dont let that stop you from going again. You simply are getting the muscle back in condition.
Finally a note on the medical side:
    1. ACE inhibitors d not cause you to lose weight. The "water loss" is from the HCTZ diuretic. But do not think the medicine is what is causing you to lose weight. It is the plan. You have reduced your caloric intake and are burning more calories. This is "Fat Loss" not just "water loss"

Keep up the good work man, its great to see you progressing so well.

  2. Great to see my comrade in the struggle is having such success so far. I am sure you will be greatly rewarded by the scale at some point. Though overall, its not about the scale I've found, but about recognizing this is a long journey, and one, that if we are to lose all this weight and KEEP IT OFF, that we are going to have to do for the rest of our lives. It's the dedication to keeping on track, and never not getting back on when we fall off that will define our success.

Anyway, again, congrats on the great work so far!

  3. Thanks for the invitation to your blog. May I ask why you made it private? I have been very surprised at how much help is out there from bloggers. I get new people visiting me every week that have been a great help. So far, no bad apples :o) and I've been doing this for a year now.

Looks like you're on a roll. Keep up the good work!!

  4. What type of plan are you following? Just want to make sure you are getting enough to eat!

    Good luck!

  5. Thank you all for commenting.

Deborah, I have now set my blog for public viewing. We'll see how this goes. I have been overweight my entire life, and have been through a lot of teasing. I don't handle it very well. If there's any problems, I can always make the blog private again.

Lori, I was hooked up with a local personal trainer here in town, and he has set me up on this plan: http://who-ate-my-blog.blogspot.com/2009/02/first-post.html I will modify that posting to be more specific about exactly what I'm doing. Also, thank you for the concern. Trust me, I am eating enough food. I don't know how it works, but I am not hungry.

  6. The link above did not work. I have a link to my plan on the top right of my blog. It's under the "New Here, Start Here" heading.
