Thursday 07/02/09

I will start working out again on Monday. Monday is legs so I will work them out again. This week I worked out only on Monday. The rest of the week my legs have been incredibly sore because they aren't used to the weight and motion of squats. I am gonna do squats again this Monday, but I don't expect my legs to be sore this time.

When I first started swimming, my arms would get stiff and sore, but now I have no soreness. I believe our muscles adapt to the workload that we give them.

  1. Our muscles adapt...do our appetites? You really are a local hero of sorts - everyone is rooting for you!

  2. Good luck working out. Here is a little tip: When you are sore, stretch for atleast 20 seconds on each position. It will break up the lactic acid built up in your muscles (this is what causes you to be sore) It hurts, but it's totally worth it in the end

  3. You're doing wonderfully. Anne is right, you are a hero, and your success and story has the potential to inspire many people facing the same obesity issues you were...it already has.
But you know what I mean. You're going to have an amazing story to spread to the world Stephen.
    Keep up the amazing work.

    my best always
